flat packed shoes
United Nude are one of my favourite shoe brands and I have featured their lo-res style on my wishlist post a few weeks ago but had to feature this new collaboration for the Moon Life project. Sparked with the concept of exploring what life would be like living on the moon in the future; artists, designers and architects are encouraged to think radically and abandon ‘familiar points of departure in the design process’ while creating functional design. United Nude were asked to design a shoe adequate for space conditions other than that the brief was wide open. And so sprung forth these amazing flat packed shoes – the carbon fiber pieces come flat packed with moulded foot pads and leather upper straps that all slot together with the use of wire.
